I love Blackpool, I love my home town. I remember outside the old souvenir shops rows upon rows of spinning display racks full of postcards, old black & white local scenes that had been brightly over colourised. These new pieces take inspiration from those cheerful, historic, photo-chromed, Victorian images.

“… cufflinks, of stags?” said one lovely customer.
I’ve spent the evening at the studio creating tiny versions of my stag design. Exciting to see them in miniature, even small enough for stud earrings. I can’t wait to make a start with the hares & cats.
Thrilled to see a piece of my glass featured on Channel 4’s HOME HERO with Phil Spencer. Jean & Ade of Cherrydidi, Keswick moved into their new home last year and allowed Phil & his crew to give a couple of their rooms a makeover. The simple fused glass mirror brings a touch of nature to their crisp & fresh bathroom. Thank you guys x

The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it…’ – J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
As solitary worker some artists have moments of doubt, whether the things we make will be enjoyed by others as much as it was great to make.
In times of uncertainty I’ve found it best to keep on making, striving to improve on the last piece. Today I’m reflecting on & enjoying this large bowl, commissioned by a lovely couple. It now lives on their coffee table, somewhere in beautiful Yorkshire.
